Man Remanded For Allegedly Defiling 16-Year-Old Girl

One Mustapha Jallow was on 8th July, 2009, remanded at Mile 2 Central Prisons by Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court, for allegedly defiling a 16-year-old girl.

According to the charge sheet, the accused, Mustapha Jallow, on or about the month of June 2009, at Ebo Town unlawfully had a carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 16 years.

He pleaded not guilty.

Before adjourning the case to 15th July 2009, Magistrate Mbacke, said that the court would liaise with authorities at the Judicial Headquarters in order to know whether it could proceed with the hearing or have the case transferred to the High Court.

Lawyer Edu Gomez represented the accused, while ASP Bojang stood in for the IGP.
