One Yusupha Sanneh, a 35-year-old man who is a resident of Brikama Wellingara was yesterday Wednesday 8th July 2009 dragged to court before Magistrate Mahoney of the Brikama Magistrates' Court, to answer to charges relating to indecent assault of a 13-year-old girl.
According to the statement of the offence, on or about the 19th April 2009, at Brikama Wellingara, the accused unlawfully and indecently assaulted a girl (name withheld) by undressing her and at the same time exposing her private part.
When the charge sheet was read to him, he vehemently denied the charge preferred against him.
At that point, Police Prosecutor Inspector Camara applied for an adjournment, which was accordingly granted.
Meanwhile, he was granted bail in the sum of D20, 000, with one Gambian surety.
The case was adjourned to 15th July 2009.
