East Super Nawettan team have completed a double over Brikama to face
Serrekunda West in the 2019 Africell-sponsored super Nawettan final tomorrow,
at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 5pm.
The
Kombo East boys thumped Sateyba boys 2-0 in the semifinal match, played at the
Serrekunda West Mini Stadium on Wednesday to complete a binary over them and to
rub shoulders with West boys in the country’s community biggest football
festivity final.
They
defeated Brikama 1-0 in the group stage fixture, played at the Box Bar Mini
Stadium in Brikama before their semifinal clash for a space in the final.
The
East boys scored two astounding goals without Brikama responding to cruise to
the final of the super Nawettan final for the first time in their history. They
will spar to batter Serrekunda West in the final to clinch their first ever
super nawettan title since making their debut in the country’s annual
prestigious community biggest football
competition in 2017.
Meanwhile,
Manjai will play against Brikama in the third-place playoff tomorrow at the
Independence Stadium in Bakau at 3pm.
