The Gambia Swimming and Aquatic Sports Association (GSASA) is set to hold its elective congress on Saturday 28th March 2015 at the University of The Gambia Faculty of Law building at 11 a.m. sharp, according to a media release from the association.

The elective congress, among other things, shall give the delegates the opportunity to debate the past activity reports and financial reports from 2011-2015, it added.

The election of new Executive Bureau members shall be done as per the constitution of the GSASA, the release continued.

According to the Secretary General Yorro Njie, the elective congress is a constitutional requirement and needs to be fulfilled by the GSASA Executive Bureau.

He asked all the stakeholders and clubs to be present and to exercise their constitutional rights.

The association was founded on 19 February 2011, under the first leadership of Yahya Al Matarr Jobe. Despite being young, it has recorded tremendous achievements within four years of operations, both at the national and international levels.
