A Guinean national, Momodou Camara, is to be deported to his native country upon completing serving his sentence.
Momodou Camara was convicted and sentenced by the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court to one-year imprisonment for escaping from lawful custody.
According to the charge sheet read in court, the accused, Momodou Camara, on 20 February 2013, at Kanifing court, in the Kanifing Municipality, while under lawful custody of the police in the said court, managed to escape from such custody.
The case was presided over by Magistrate Bojang.
