Two Dutch friends, Toon Gores and Ms Nadine Hermans, have said they will do their best to support Raptim Academy of Tallinding with football materials, when they return to their native country.

The two friends visited the Tallinding-based Academy on Sunday14th December 2014, where the team had friendly matches with a Tallinding Academy selection.

They have already sent e-mails back home in Holland seeking for assistance for the team, they announced.

They hope to work with and support the team in future, they stated, and were pleased to learn that there is a team named Raptim in The Gambia as there is a Raptim team in Holland.

The two were speaking to reporters in an interview at the Buffer Zone, where the game took place.

They were impressed with what they saw, describing the team as good collectively. Despite their inexperience, they played good football and when given a chance can do better, they went on.

Toon and Nadine were visiting The Gambia for the third, and also explained how their relationship with the Academy came about.

They are interested in football, despite their professions are different from football. Toon said both teams, Raptim of Holland and Raptim of the Gambia, need to collaborate so that the Gambian team can benefit.

There is a big difference in European and African football, he said, and described football as very expensive.

In conclusion, they urged the players to be disciplined so as to succeed, and advised the players to focus on the game if they want to become professional players in future.
