africa » gambia
Friday, June 19, 2009

The defilement case involving one Bakary Keita could not proceed at the Bundung Magistrates' Court as the defence counsel was not in court.

When the case was called the accused Bakary Keita informed the court that his counsel was not in court and that he wish to open his defence in the presence of this counsel.

The prosecuting officer did not object to the accused application.

The trial Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara granted the application and adjourned the case to 30th June 2009.
