Boy in Court for Fraud

One Modou Saho of Brikama on Wednesday arraigned before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh at the Brikama Magistrate for obtaining money by false pretence contrary to section 288 of the criminal code.

According to the particular of the offence some time in 2008 at Busumbala village in the kombo north, the accused Modou Saho obtained cash of D80, 000 from one Babucarr Sankareh with pretext to sold him a plot of land at Busumbala when in fact, he knew that the said land belongs to Haddy Ndow and he equally knew such representation was false.

When the charge was read to him he pleaded not guilty.

The accused was granted court bail with two Gambia sureties one must be a Government worker and the other must have a landed property within the jurisdiction the case was adjourned for hearing.
