Taranga FM’s Managing Director Alhagie Ceesay is wanted, State TV announced Friday night.
According to the announcement, Alhagie Ceesay “escaped” on the 20th of April 2016 whilst undergoing treatment at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul.
The General public was further informed that Ceesay “is a fugitive on the run and, therefore, anyone who aids him to leave the country will face the full force of the law”.
The TV announcement further stated: “The Department of Prisons is appealing to the general public to report to the nearest police station or security installation if his whereabouts are known.”
Journalist Alhagie Ceesay was being tried for sedition.
