Monday, January 12, 2009
One Demba Jatta who was arraigned on charges of shop breaking and armed with intent to commit a felony will soon know his fate at the Kanifing Magistrates' Court.

The prosecuting officer told the presiding Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke that the prosecution had closed their case.

In his defence, the accused Demba Jatta told the court that he lives in Bakau and he is an artist. He said he did not take anything from the said shop as alleged in the police charge sheet. He added that he was arrested by K.M.C security personnel and later escorted to Serekunda police station where he was charged and taken to court.

The case was adjourned for judgement.
