Yes, Nancy Nanz, a Banjul-born promising musician, is a precocious talent. Having two singles to her credit, including that of the AU and the Elections compilations, Nancy is proving to be hit.
At the time of piecing this story together, Entertainment was privileged to gather that preparations were at a heightened state for the rising female artist to launch her debut album.
Entertainment was also informed by Nancy in a chat that the album, entitled Xalel (Children), has been sponsored by the Head of State.
The album, an outcome of two years of toil, will soon hit the shelves of the recording studios within the country. It will be in both DVD and CD format and will be launched at the deluxe Paradise Suites Hotel on June 21st barely five months after its release.
"I definitely thank the President for giving me a hand of support even though his intervention did not come to me as a surprise as he had extended and continues to extend similar helping hand to many Gambian musicians. The President is always ready to support Gambian artistes and I thank him for having the interest of the Gambian people at the core of his heart," Nancy acknowledged.
She also expressed gratitude to Gamcel, Ocean Bay Hotel, Social Security & Housing Finance Corporation, among others, for making the album the success.
