One Year for Cattle Rustler

The Basse Magistrates' Court presided over by the travelling Magistrate Amadou Baldeh recently sentenced one Sara Bah to one year imprisonment for stealing a bull.

According to the particulars of the offence on 31st August 2008, at Demba kunda, Upper River Region (URR), the convict Sara Bah was said to have stolen a bull valued at ten thousand dalasis being the property of one Surakata Touray.

In an effort to prove their case against the convict, the police prosecutor called in three witnesses. Based on the evidence adduced by the prosecution witnesses the court found the convict guilty as charged and sentenced him accordingly.
