As teams battle it out in the preliminary stages in the current Baby Muhammad Yaya Jammeh Perpetual Zonal Competition, four teams had already booked their place as the first semi final.

The four teams are the defending champions Bakau, Gunjur, Serrekunda East and Banjul. The surprise team in this years zonal's, Gunjur, will lock horns with Banjul on Saturday at Serrekunda East Mini Stadium and the defending champions Bakau take on Serrekunda East on Sunday at Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.

Gunjur and Serrekunda East both qualified with 7 points as group winners in their respective groups while Banjul, the City Boys, bagged 5 points from three games. Bakau, the cup holders, struggled to qualify with 4 points.

Gunjur, if performance determines anything in football, are the favourite team to win this year's zonal's after they have produced some good performances in the group stages. Their opponents Banjul are a force to be reckoning with and can rely on experience to turn results in their favour.

The defending champions Bakau have a very young side that can inject energy and dazzling skills in any game and their defensive line is formidable. Their opponents Serrekunda East are always a threat to any team considering the individual talent they encompass coupled with their experience they can surprise any other team.

Serrekunda East passed into the semis afterthey defeated Lamin 2-1 at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium and Banjul beat Brikama by a lone goal at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
