WTF Olympic Solidarity Course for Taekwondo Coaches Ended

A week-long Olympic solidarity course for Taekwondo coaches ended over the weekend at the Friendship Hotel in Bakau.

The course was organised by Gambia National Olympic Committee and sponsored by World Taekwondo Federation for the promotion of Taekwondo in the country.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the course director Ali Ndour, commended the participants for their dedication and commitment during the course and he urged the participants to make good use of the knowledge gained on the course.

He expressed the WTF's readiness to promote and develop the sport in The Gambia and expressed optimism that the course will go a long in increasing the knowledge of Taekwondo coaches in The Gambia.

For his part, the chairman of the National Sports Council, Mr. Alhagie Omar Sallah, express appreciation to the WTF for organising the course, adding that the course will improve the standard of Taekwondo in The Gambia and he also commended GNOC for their valuable contribution towards the development of sports in country.
