Wallidan to Meet Samger in GFA First Division Today

The defending champions Wallidan will clash with Samger today Wednesday at Brikama Mini Stadium in Week 8 of the 2008/09 GFA First division league.

Wallidan are currently second from bottom and they will be hoping for a victory today in order to save themselves from relegation to the second division. They have managed to win one game, draw four and lose two, making it 7 Points from seven games and 11th position in the league.

Their opponents Samger will also be hoping for a victory in order keep their title race alive and they currently are at 6 position with 10 points from seven matches.

On the same day, Hawks will meet the Bakau giants Steve Biko at the Independence Stadium in Bakau. Biko currently occupy 3rd position with 11points from 7games, while Hawks who collected 8points from 7games are in the relegation zone with 9 position in the league standing.

Seaview will face Real de Banjul at the Father Gough football field. The hotel club are at 5th position with 10points from 7 matches while Real occupy 10 position with 8 points in 7 games.

Thursday's games will see Bakau United taking on bottom placed Tallinding United at S/Kunda East Park.

Bakau united is at 2nd place with 11points in 7 matches while Tallinding is hanging on 5.

The last game of the Week Eight fixtures will also feature another thrilling encounter between the current leaders Armed forces and the impressive Brikama United side at the Manjai playing ground.

Coach Lang Kah's men are lying at 6th position with 11points from 7 matches while Armed Forces who are currently leading, have 13 points in 7 games.
