Two men arraigned for willful damage to property

Abdoulie Gibba and Ebrima Saidy were arraigned yesterday before Magistrate Dawda Jallow of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with willful damage to property.

Both accused persons pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to them and as a result, they were each granted court bail of D5,000, with two Gambian sureties who should deposit their ID cards with the court registrar.

The case was then adjourned till 13 September 2011, for hearing.

According to the particulars of the offence, Ebrima Saidy and Abdoulie Gibba on 7 August 2011, at Dippakunda, in the Kanifing Municipality, jointly damaged the windscreen of the Fire and Rescue Services vehicle, known as Fire Tender, by stoning at its front rear windscreen.
