Three Jailed For Impersonation

Principal Magistrate Kayode of the Bundung Magistrates' Court last Wednesday convicted and sentence, Musa Bajaha, Cherno Marong and Lamin Touray to serve 2-years imprisonment for the offence of impersonation.
According to the charge sheet on count one, the accused persons on the 22nd June 2009 at Kololi village identified themselves as National Intelligent Agency to the complainant Eric Thompson, a British National by taking from him D15,000 or else they would arrest him.

While count two revealed that, on the same day and place, the accused persons stole the following items: DVD Player value at D7, 300, CD Player value at D3, 500, a mobile phone valued at D4,000, a digital camera valued at D6, 400, a watch value D700, total valued D21, 900 being the property of the said Eric Thompson.

When the charge sheet was read to them, all pleaded guilty and were sentence accordingly.

Police officer 1674 Ceesay was the prosecutor.
