According to him, this was by virtue of the Chief Justice directives for the establishment of a Special Criminal Division at the High Court to deal with capital offences and other criminal offences including robbery with violence.

According to the alleged offence, the accused Pa Mbaye Badjie on the 12th July 2009 at New Jeshwang, violently robbed one Jariatou Jallow of her Samsumg mobile phone.

He pleaded not guilty.
