Testimony continues in theft case

One Lamin Drammeh recently gave evidence at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court in a theft case involving Musa Jatta and Eliyasa Darboe, who were alleged to have stolen iron bars costing D3, 000 on 17 September 2011 at the Bakau Badala Bridge.

Mr Drammeh told the court that while patrolling around the beach on the same date, he found many iron bars were pulled out of the bridge, adding that he then saw the second accused coming with other iron bars.

He said he followed him to where he was packing them and then the first accused, Musa Jatta, came for the bars and he the witness took them to the police station

Under cross-examination, when asked what time he went to the beach, Mr Drammeh said 8.00am.

Further asked whether he was there with other people, he responded in the affirmative.
