Suspect Remanded for Theft, Threaten to Kill

One Baba Bayo on Tuesday appeared before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates' Court charged with stealing contrary to section 252 of the criminal code cap 10 vol III laws of The Gambia.

According to the particulars of offence, Buba Darboe on or about 16th May 2009, at Brikama, stole 2 mobile phones from Bakary Krubally and Sherifo Danson each valued at D1,000. On count two, the accused on the same date, month and year threatened to kill Amie Bayo and Alieu Bayo.

When the charge was read to him he pleaded not guilty.

Meanwhile he was remanded in custody until the next adjourned date.
