As part of their drive towards raising the standards of basketball in Serrekunda West and its environs, the Serrekunda West Sports Organisation (SWSO) is on the verge of organising a basketball tournament for basketball teams in Serrekunda West.
According to officials, the tournament is geared towards improving and developing the skills and talents of young basketball players in Serrekunda West and its surrounding areas, and to also bring basketball back to life.
Interested basketball teams residing in Serrekunda West and it environs are encouraged to register for the tournament.
The registration fee for the championship is pegged at D1000 per team and deadline for registration is 5th November 2009.
As part of the championship, prizes will be awarded to winners, runner-up and other outstanding basketball players at the end of the tournament.
