Monday, December 08, 2008

Milly's Night Club was on Friday 8thDecember 2008 sued at the Kanifing Magistrates' Court by one Andrew Gomez claiming the sum of D15, 000 for damages.

The case was presided over by Senior Magistrate Sainabou Wadda Ceesay.

The plaintiff claimed that he agreed with the defendant to organise a share-base programme in the defendant's hall on the 29thNovember 2008, which should have been sponsored by the plaintiff.

He further claimed that he made all the expenditures and advertised the program both in the papers, radio stations and prepared some posters, only for the defendant surprisingly to allow Gamcel to organise their Chart Burster program on the same day, 29thNovember 2008.

He also claimed that the defendant had breached the contract between them.

Yusupha Sowe, assistant manager of the night club, represented the defendant and denied liability. The case was adjourned to the 22ndDecember 2008 for hearing.
