Manchester United of Sukuta, in the past weekend, swept past Dahaba F.C beating them 2-0 in the Sukuta Nawettan League Championship Tournament at the Dembadou Stadium.
Manchester United made short work of their opponents in the final match, which drew a multitude of spectators from Sukuta and its surrounding areas. The match proved an exciting encounter as both teams put-up some eye pleasing performances which left fans both delighted and entertained.
However, Manchester United registered their 1st goal in the 15th of the first half through Sarjo Cham who then sealed the victory with the winner in the 69th minute of the match.
Dahaba F.C fought tooth and nail to restore some pride for themselves a rev in the acceleration of their counter attacks but it proved difficult to garner anything from the game.
As the champions, Manchester United received a giant trophy and a cash prize of D7500, while Dahaba F.C bagged D5500 as runners up.
Meanwhile, Manchester United hope to win the double when they play in the 2008 Knockout Championship Tournament with Global Properties at the Dembadou Mini Stadium in Sukuta.
