under 20 national team has returned home from Guinea Conakry, after winning
the bronze medal in the 2019 WAFU zone A
football tournament.
The
young Scorpions defeated Sierra Leone 8-7 on penalties to secure the medal
after failing to defend their crown.
Coach
Matarr Mboge and his charges were decorated with bronze medals after grabbing
third-spot in the annual football championship. The team won the 2018 WAFU zone
A U-20 football tournament title after beating Liberia 2-1 in the final, played
in Monrovia.
