United shared points with Real De Banjul in the 2019-2020 Gambia Football
Federation (GFF) first division league following their 1-1 draw in the
week-fourteen tie, played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on Sunday.
Coach
Majorr Saine and his charges were struggling in the country’s top tier and
required a win against Real De Banjul to move away from relegation zone after
their dismal performance in the league. They came for the maximum three points
but the game ended stalemate. The draw earned Elite United 9 points in fourteen
league matches.
Real
De Banjul remained top spot in the league standings with 29 points after
fourteen league outings despite drawing with Elite United.
Meanwhile,
Hawks defeated Gamtel 1-0 to improve their status in the league standings.
