Daimler Football Tournament Ends

The fifth edition of Daimler one-day football tournament organised by OlympAfrica Centre ended at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Saturday, 16 May 2009.

The tournament was competed by twenty schools within (KMC). The tournament was contested between ten Lower Basic Schools and ten Upper Basic Schools respectively.

In the Lower Basic category Tallinding Annex Lower Basic were crown champions after beating AbukoLowerBasicSchool on penalties after normal play on the clock by 3 goals to 2.

In the Upper Basic category TallindingUpperBasicSchool emerged winners after defeating St. Therese's UpperBasicSchool through penalty spot kicks.

TallindingAnnexLowerBasicSchool and TallindingUpperBasicSchool were each awarded a trophy with three footballs while AbukoLowerBasicSchool and St. Therese's UpperBasicSchool each received three footballs.

Semi finalists, Serrekunda Lower Basic, Tallinding Proper Lower Basic, Latri Kunda Upper Basic and CharlesJowUpperBasicSchools, went home with two footballs each.

Other schools that took part in the tournament were given each a ball.
