As part of preparations for the 2012 National Youth
Conference and Festival, NAYCONF, set for 7th December 2012 in Janjanbureh,
Central River Region, the Brikama Athletics Association is calling on all
athletes in West Coast Region to come for trials on Saturday 24th November 2012
at the Cannan Multi Purpose Centre in Brikama.
According to the Assistant Secretary General of Brikama Athletics Association, BAA, Lamin Camara, the trial was organize to scout for goodathletesfor NAYCONF, noting that the selected athleteswill represent the West Coast Region in the upcoming NAYCONF next month.
Camara revealed that the trial was also organized to scout and establish a formidable athletics team that will represent the region in the bi-annual event.
Camara appeal to all athletes in West Coast Region to come out in their large numbers, and take part in the trial, adding that selection will be based on the performance of the athletes during the trial.
Camara stated that they are also are planning to organize a marathon and other sporting disciplines in Brikama in future.
