Alleged fraudstar granted bail

Following a plea of not guilty one Basiru Barrow was recently granted court bail in the sum of D75, 000, with two Gambian sureties who must meet the bail condition.

Mr. Barrow was arraigned before Magistrate Drammeh of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court, charged with purchasing forged bank notes.

According to the charge sheet, on 9th July 2010, at Serrekunda Bamboo in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused, Basiru Barrow was found in possession of hundred forged Euro notes in fifty denominations with one serial no: 42562574639.

The case was adjourned to 28th July 2010 for continuation.
