Abduction Trial Adjourned

africa » gambia
Friday, December 05, 2008

The abduction trial involving two Nigerian nationals and a Gambian namely Okenuwa Ockechuwa, Benjamin George and Fatou Sarr, could not proceed at the Bundung Magistrates' Court on 1st December 2008 .

When the case was called, the high court master, Mrs Amina Saho Ceesay, at that point adjourned the trial to the 8th December 2008 , because the magistrate in charge of the court had travelled out of jurisdiction.

It could be recalled that the accused person stood charge for the offence of conspiracy and abduction on the first count and on the second count the accused persons intentionally and wilfully held and confined one Abdul Wadam, a Moroccan National.

They denied the charges.
