Man Faces D2.5 Million Stealing Charges

The police have brought forward charges against one man for allegedly stealing D2.5 million.

Accusations are brought against Alagie Babou Njie alias Ass for stealing an amount of 2.5 million dalasis from Kanitech Company Limited, a Western Region-based company.

The police charge sheet that accompanied Ass Njie to the court specified that, between the 20thof March 2007 and 31stJanuary 2008, Ass Njie stole the sum of 2.5 million Dalasis being the property of Kanitech Company Limited.

The case was mentioned at the Brikama Magistrates' Court before Magistrate Njie last Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the case was adjourned to the 8thof April 2008 for hearing.
