GVBF interdicts GPF male volleyball team from volleyball activities

The Gambia Volleyball Federation (GVBF) has suspended The Gambia Police Forces male volleyball team from participating in all volleyball activities after their misconduct during the finals of the 2024 Senegambia Volleyball Championship held in Banjul.

According to news reaching The Point Sports Desk, The Gambia Police Force must pay D5000 before rejoining the league.

All Players that are registered by The Gambia Police Forces during the Senegambia volleyball championship are suspended for the first round of the 2024/2025volleyball league season.

The players must pay D1000 in the second round if they want to join another team and teams cannot sign more than 2 players.

Chief Inspector Samba G Kah, 1st class constable Pa Sanu Secka and Muhammed Samateh are all suspended indefinitely from all volleyball activities for their misconduct.

The Senegambia Volleyball Championship is a bilateral sporting event organised since 2019 under the name of the two Head of States of The Gambia and Senegal.
