Alaji Janneh, according to sources, was yesterday arrested for being found in possession of Keenoo and Bunkoyo logs suspected to have been illegally acquired from a State forest in Sanyang, few kilometres outside Gunjur in Kombo South.

Abdoulie Sanneh, Western Region Forestry Officer, told this paper that Alaji was arrested by the police in Bundung with a truck-laden with logs. He added that the matter was under investigation, saying that arrangements have been made to take Janneh to court.
