Gunjur Man ArrestedFriday, April 11, 2008
The personnel of the Forestry Department had reportedly
arrested a Gunjur man for illegal forest activities.
Alaji Janneh, according to sources, was yesterday arrested for being found in possession of Keenoo and Bunkoyo logs suspected to have been illegally acquired from a State forest in Sanyang, few kilometres outside Gunjur in Kombo South. Abdoulie Sanneh, Western Region Forestry Officer, told this paper that Alaji was arrested by the police in Bundung with a truck-laden with logs.
