Yellow House win Sifoe SSS inter-house athletics title

Sifoe Senior Secondary School on Saturday held their annual inter-house athletics competition at the school’s football field in Sifoe, as part of preparations for the 2012 West Coast Region Senior Secondary Schools Inter-schools Athletics heat billed for later this year in Brikama.

Four houses - Red house, Yellow house, Blue house and Green house - vied for the annual athletics championship characterised by brilliant exhibition of skills and panache by athletes and attracted spectators from Sifoe and its surrounding areas.

The school authorities used the annual competition to scout out good athletes that will represent the school in the forthcoming West Coast Region Inter-senior Secondary School Athletics and the national inter-schools athletics later this year.

At the end of the 2012 Sifoe Secondary School Inter-house Athletics competition, Yellow house emerged champions after securing 455 points, followed by Blue house in 2nd position with 435 points, Red house in 3rd position with 409 points, and Green house finished 4th position.

In another development, Kombo South District Sports Committee (KSDSC) has suspended Sanyang Village for two KSD football tournaments, with a fine of D5,000 after failing to turn up for  the KSD football tournament final against Sifoe in November 2011.
