Yankuba Drammeh Reinstated, Promoted

Reports monitored over GRTS last evening revealed that President Jammeh has reinstated Brigadier-General Yankuba Drammeh, as Deputy Chief of Defence Staff and as well promoted him to the rank of Major-General.

It could be recalled that Yankuba Drammeh was on Monday 30th November 2009 demoted to the rank of Private and dismissed from the army.

Meanwhile, the release added that the following promotions have also been approved in the army.

Major-General Massaneh Kinteh, the Chief of Defence Staff is now promoted to the rank of Lt.General, while Brigadier-General Ousman Badjie, the Army Commander is promoted to the rank of Major-General and Col. Lamin Bojang, State Guard Commander to the rank of Brigadier- General.
