Workshop FC on Sunday beat Universal Football Academy by a goal to nil in a keenly and well-contested encounter in the ongoing Lamin Sports Committee Nawetan competition played at the Late Sanna Jatta Memorial football grounds.

The encounter saw both teams put up a brilliant performance during the game, but could only create a few chances in the process.

Modou Lamin Jatta had a golden opportunity to put Workshop FC ahead in the 33rd minute of the game, but goalkeeper Serign Badjie came out on time to rescue his side.

However, Jatta still had another opportunity to register his name on the score sheet for his side, when he scored the only goal of the game for his side just three minutes into the second period, from a superb strike, this time leaving goalkeeper Serign Badjie helpless.

Both teams have now collected six points each in three encounters.

B. Kiniteh, president of the Gambia Football Association.

Mbollet Ba FC made it to the semi final after securing a 1-1 draw against Mbulum FC in their final game of the group stage played at the Biri-Biri Mini Stadium on Sunday.

Amat Jobe put Mbollet Ba FC ahead in the second minute of the game, while Buba Bah leveled the score line for Mbulum FC in the 26th minute of the game. However, his goal could only serve as a mere consolation for his side, as it could not guarantee them a semi final spot.

Jokor FC advanced to the semi final after securing eleven points in four encounters. Jollof FC made it to the semi final with nine points in four games.

Mbollet Ba FC sailed to the semi final after collecting nine points in four games, while Ndofan FC also qualified for the semi final after securing six points in four games.
