Women in court for criminal trespass, assault

Two women were Wednesday arraigned before Magistrate Jobarteh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with criminal trespass and assault, causing actual bodily harm.

According to the charge sheet on count one, the accused, Kombeh Jobe, on 29 April 2013, at Latrikunda German, in the Kanifing Municipality, entered into the compound of one Mam Njie with intent to intimidate, insult or annoy her.

Count two read that the accused, Mam Njie, on 29 April 2013, at Latrikunda German, in the Kanifing Municipality, assaulted one Kombeh Jobe on her head with a comb which caused her actual bodily harm.

Both denied the charge and were each granted court bail of D5,000 with one Gambian surety.
