Ebrima Baldeh (16) and Modou Lamin Baldeh (15) dropped out of school after the sudden death of their father Musa Baldeh in March 2002. The two boys were former students at Bakoteh Upper Basic School while their late father was a former army officer and native of Janjangbureh in CRR. The two boys told The Point that they want to go back to school but need financial support from individuals and organisations from The Gambia and abroad.

"It is in our interests to be back in school so that we can better ourselves and help our family," they stated.

According to the two boys, their mother is taking care of their two other siblings Salifa and Mansata Baldeh. They said their mother and grandmother are currently caring for the family's needs.

Isatou Jallow, the mother of the two boys said that she has no means of paying for her sons schooling or other educational needs because of their financial constraints. She is appealing for help on behalf of her two sons so that they can go back to school. Anyone who can help the boys and their family is asked to contact 9758245 or 7447259.
