Tujereng, Tanji & Kartong sail to semis in Kombo South district tourney

Tujereng thumped Mamuda 2-0 in their second-leg tie played at the Tujereng football field on Saturday.

Tujereng came into the second leg with three points following their 1-0 win over Mamuda in the first-leg clash played at the Mamuda football field prior to their Saturday’s quarterfinal second-leg clash.

Tujereng opened the scores through winger Basiru Touray alias Bas-boy in the 7th minute of the game from an excellent header from the corner spot to give his side the lead.

Midfielder Yankuba Sanyang sealed the victory in the 38th minute of the game to earn Tujereng a place in the semifinals on a three-nil aggregate.

Tanji pounded Jambanjelly on the same score-line at the Tanji football field to progress to the semifinal through a two-nil aggregate.

The beach boys sealed a place in the last four through a two-nil aggregate.

Kartong beat Banyaka 1-0 at the Kartong football field on Sunday to advance to the semifinal with a two-nil aggregate.
