The trial on a charge of murder involving two former officers of the National Drug Enforcement Agency, namely Ebou Lowe and Eku Grant, could not proceed on Tuesday at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul.

When the case was announced, the state counsel applied for an adjournment on the grounds that his last two witnesses were not in court.

The case at that juncture was adjourned till 8 October 2011.

Eku Grant and Ebou Lowe were charged with murder after they allegedly beat one Cherno Alieu Suwareh, alias ‘Che Boy’ leading to his death, for being suspected of possessing cannabis.
