Tennis Association to Stage 2009 Championship

The Gambia Tennis Association will stage its 2009 national Tennis championship billed for Friday 27th March 2009 at Independence Stadium tennis court.

According to the Association president, Mr Sheriff Jammeh, the tournament will facilitate the seeding of Gambia Tennis players and provide the association with a basis to select teams to represent The Gambia in international tournaments and for the Davis Cup in which The Gambia has never participated.

"The tournament is open to all Gambian Tennis players, and participants can submit their names for registration to Ba Sanna Conteh or Ken Lamin Drammeh at the Independence Stadium latest 25th March 2009," said the President of The Gambia Tennis Association, Sheriff Jammeh.

Jammeh pointed out that winners and runners up will be awarded trophies and prizes.

 

He also invited potential sponsors to contact the management of the Tennis Association at Independence Stadium.
