After a week break due to heavy fracas at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium, between Banjul and Bakau, and Lamin against Banjul at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium, actions will resume in the 2013 Skye Bank Gambia Limited-sponsored Super Nawettan zonal football tournament today, Wednesday 18 December 2013, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

As part of group A games, the 2012 Super Nawettan champions Brikama will clash with Sukuta at a 3pm encounter. Brikama are 3rd position in group A with 3 points in three games and are yet to snatch a win since the start of the tournament on 1st December 2013.

They will therefore be hoping for a win to stand a better chance of qualifying for the quarterfinal as well as of keeping their hopes of retaining their 2012 Super Nawettan crown.

Sukuta are occupying 4th position in group A with 3 points in three games following their slender 1-0 win over Brufut after losing two consecutive games against Manjai 3-2 and Serrekunda West 1-0. Hence, they would come all out for a win to secure the maximum points to keep their chances of progressing to the quarterfinal.

Elsewhere, Brufut will battle it out with Gunjur at a 5pm kickoff. Brufut are languishing at the bottom of group A with a single point in three outings and will be expecting to bounce back, after losing two games in a row against Manjai 2-1 and Sukuta 1-0, to keep their title hopes alive.

Gunjur, on the other hand, are sitting second from bottom in group A with 2 points in three games and are hoping to bounce back following their 1-0 defeat to Manjai, who have snatched three victories in three outings.

On Thursday 19 December 2013, Barra, Essau and Mayamba will lock horns with Serrekunda Central in group B at a 3pm encounter.

Barra, Essau and Mayamba are second from bottom in group B with zero point in two games and will be expecting to bounce back after losing two in a row against Lamin 2-0 and Serrekunda East 1-0 in their previous fixtures.

Serrekunda Central are rooted at the bottom of group B with zero point in two games and will also be hoping to bounce back, after their 1-0 defeat to Bakau and 2-0 to Lamin, to boost their chances of qualifying for the quarterfinal.

Elsewhere, Manjai will play against Serrekunda West in group A at a 5pm kickoff. Manjai are currently leading group A with maximum 9 points in three games after beating Sukuta, Brufut and Gunjur in their previous fixtures, while Serrekunda West are 2nd position in group A with 5 points in three games.
