Sukuta Land Dispute Lands Education Ministry in Court

One Bob Cham has taken legal action against the Ministry of Education and the Attorney General's Chambers over a piece of land situated at Sukuta in Kombo North, Western Region.

Mr. Bob Cham, acting on powers of attorney, is seeking a court injunction that the person he represents is the rightful owner of the piece of land in question, situated at Sukuta Sincha-banding.

He is also seeking injunction for possession of the said piece of land and to restrain the defendant from building or developing or wasting the plaintiff's land. 

He is also claiming damages for unlawful appropriation of the said piece of land.

However when the case was called both the first and second defendants and their counsel Lawyer R.A Itakpe were not in court.

Lawyer Darboe, representing the plaintiff was also not in court, but Lawyer Kebba Sanyang was there to hold brief for him.

The presiding judge, Justice Ngui Mboob-Janneh adjourned the case until 30th July 2009 for hearing.
