Kololi Clinic has recommended overseas medical treatment for Choiry Touray, an 18-year boy for an oncology centre for urgent assessment for chemotherapy and or radiotherapy to be followed, if possible, by a limb salvage surgical procedure.

It added that these facilities are presently not available in The Gambia.

The histology report noted irregular spindle shaped neoplastic cells with nuclear atypical invading surrounding soft tissue consistent with an Osteosarcoma.

The medical examination, signed by Dr. Sheriff A L Ceesay, noted that the boy had a large, tense and extremely tender cystic mass overlying the proximal end of the R tibia bone.

Young Touray’s ill-health has had a negative impact on his education having been compelled to stay at home due to his medical condition.

Those who want to support him to regain his health, which is fundamental to the right to life and to continue his education, should contact the family via the following numbers: 7855577, 9931028, or 3931028.
