Abdoulie Bojang, head coach of Steve Biko FC, has said he is 100 per cent confident his team will win the league this season despite being equal on points with Real De Banjul FC at the top of the league standings with just two games remaining for the league to be over.

Lie Bojang, who was speaking to reporters on Monday at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium following his side’s goalless draw with Bakau United in the week-twenty re-scheduled encounter, added that he is fully confident they can lift the trophy despite just having a three-goal disadvantage over Real De Banjul FC.

The Bakau giant killers gaffer said they will work hard to win their remaining two games of the league, although they very well know that those matches would not be easy ride, especially the one against Brikama United.

His team played better against Bakau United but failed to capitalise on their chances.

He said they have taken the draw in good faith and will prepare better for their remaining encounters.

Some of his players are nursing injuries while others are on national duty, he said, adding that they hope to get all of them back in the setup by their next game.

He stated further that his players were a little bit under pressure coming into the game as they wanted to win and regain top spot.

Finishing has however been their problem recently but they will work on it before their next game, he noted.

Kebba Touray, head coach of Bakau United, said playing against Steve Biko FC is always very difficult.

It is unfortunate they have crashed out of the contention for the league title, he said, adding that losing his goalkeeper (Alagie Nyabally) to Real De Banjul FC also contributed.

This is one of their best seasons, he said.

Jasper, as he is widely called, remarked that he is still hopeful they will beat Steve Biko FC to win the league title despite leading Real De Banjul FC only on goal difference.
