Sonar 2016 unveils artistes

Sonar 2016 unveils artistes by dates and expands its line-up with 36 new artists including Santigold, James Rhodes, A-Trak, Kaytranada, Yung Lean, Lady Leshurr, Nicola Cruz, Ata Kak and the new show by Richie Hawtin

Sonar Barcelona 2016 adds variety with the addition of the charismatic classical pianistJames Rhodes (author of the bestseller ‘Instrumental’), Ata Kak’s African highlife, the codeine rap of Yung Lean, the new sound of the Ande’s Nicola Cruz and the unrestrained hip hop of Lady Leshurr, as well as other new sounds. Giants of club land join the festival’s nighttime schedule: Richie Hawtin with a brand new show, Ben UFO performing with Helena Hauff, Kerri Chandler, Ben Klock, Hot Shotz (Lorenzo Senni + Powell), Dj EZ, Soichi Terada and Bicep, among others.

For the first time the Barcelona Metro will leave festival-goers right at the door of Sonar by Night, with the Linea 9 extention, open from Feb 12th.

Sonar by Night premieres stage collaborations with Resident Advisor and The Warehouse Project in SonarLab.

Featuring among the more than 150 performances at Sonar Barcelona are Jean-Michel Jarre, ANOHNI: Hopelessness, New Order, James Blake, Flume, Kelela, Kode 9, Roots Manuva, Laurent Garnier, Four Tet, John Talabot, Boys Noize, Fatboy Slim and The Martinez Brothers.
