Serrekunda Derby in GFA 2nd tier today

Serrekunda East will host Serrekunda United in the all-Serrekunda derby in Week Three fixtures of the 2009-10 Gambia Football Association (GFA) second division league championship today Friday 12th March 2010, at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Serrekunda East are currently in 8th position in the league table with only a single point from two games, and will be hoping to bounce back after a 1-0 defeat in the hands of Africell last weekend.Serrekunda United are 2nd position in the league table with 4 points.

The newly-promoted side, Banjul United, will battle it out with Lamin FC at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.

Banjul United are 4th in the league standing with 2 points, and Lamin FC are 6th with 2 points.

Latrikunda United will meet the newly-promoted side Flamemins at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.

On Saturday matches, the league leaders Africell will lock horns with FA Cup winners Young Africans at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.

Africell are currently leading the league table with a maximum 6 points from two games, and will be expecting another victory in order to keep their hundred percent record since the start of the league a fortnight ago. Young Africans are 7th on the table.

Nema United will face Tallinding United in the other Week Three fixtures at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama, as Nema United lies at the bottom of the table with zero points, and will  be hoping to bounce back after losing two games in a row.

Tallinding United are in 2nd position from bottom with only a single point.
