Seedy Jarjue is Agriculture's New PS 1

Reports reaching this paper have it that Mr Seedy Jarjue has been appointed as the new Permanent Secretary No.1 at the State Department of Agriculture.

According to our sources, Mr Jarjue, whose appointment took effect on Thursday November 6th 2008, is said to have commenced work on Monday November 10th.

Prior to his recent appointment, Mr Jarjue was the co-ordinator, Special Programme for Food under the Department of State for Agriculture, a position he held for many years.

Mr Jarjue replaces Mr Bakary Trawally who now serves as Permanent Secretary No.2 at the same department.
