Seaview Selection in Spain Tournament

Seaview selection yesterday morning left Banjul via Dakar to take part in a ten-day friendly football tournament organised by KGH sports in partnership with Kingston Sports in Spain.

The selection which included 19 players drawn from three different teams namely Bakau United, Steve Biko and Seaview, will open their group fixtures when they lock horns with Majadahonda before taking on their next opponent Athletico de Madrid which will take place at the City of football complex in Madrid.

The Gambian side according to Kemo Ceesay will also be involved in a two-day training session with the youth coaches of Real Madrid as part of their visit before wrapping up their group fixtures against Rajo Vallecano and Madrid reserve team respectively.

He told Pointsport that the main objective of the tournament is to establish contact with their Spanish counterparts in order to help the Gambian talents realise their dreams of playing professional football in Europe.

The team, Kemo Ceesay revealed, will be hosted by City of football complex in Madrid, noting that they will also conduct a tour of Real Madrid Main Stadium as part of their visit.

Mr Ceesay finally expressed optimism that the tournament will be a successful one.

He told our reporter that the main objective of the tourney is to establish contact with their Spanish counterparts so as to help the Gambian talents realize their dreams of playing on foreign soil.
