Sambu launches ‘Meant for Greatness’ album

Sambu‘D’ Unstoppable, a Gambian singer, song writer, dancer, producer, actor and an instrumentalist has launched his debut album entitled “Meant for Greatness” on 21st November, 2015 at the Alliance Française along Kairaba Avenue.

The nine-track album was produced by Sunland Music in collaboration with Genesis Music Entertainment.

Three collaborators in Gambia are Gee, JaliMadi and Papa lengthy, and the international artistes are Hakim, Princess Menem, a US-based singer.

He said after the launching of the album that he has plans to promote and market the album, “and I he have links in Nigeria, Ghana.”

“I have plans to travel and make sure that this links are concrete and get international promotions for me,” he continued.

He added: “Lot needs to be done to be very honest from the artistes’ side to the producers’ side to all the people involved in the music scene, stakeholders companies, the small record label, weall need to buckle up and try to adjust ourselves; there is a lot we need to change.

“We need to put all this together. We might develop because if we want to compare ourselves to what’s happening internationally you need to beat a champion to be a champion, and we like forty or fifty years behind, so we need to buckle up.”

He went on: “My next project would be ‘The Confessions Rhythm’ to feature artistes both home and abroad. It is going to be very exciting, and fans should expect maximum entertainment,” he concluded.
