As Muslims across the globe including those in The Gambia today begin fasting the holy month of Ramadan, we take this opportunity to call for care, love and support among believers of this great and important religion of Islam.
Ramadan is a great opportunity for all Muslims as it comes with huge blessings and goodies for the faithful.
Increasing ones good deeds would help increase the blessings of any worshipper, and brings people closer to Allah.
Ramadan is a month that every Muslim should take advantage of by doing away with bad deeds such as back-biting, fornication, stealing and corruption, among others.
Allah informed Muslims that their rewards would be increased highly during this month, and as such we encourage all Muslims to redouble their efforts of worshipping.
Best and ideal practices during this month include reciting the Holy Quran, giving out charity, feeding the poor and needy, which are highly rewarded by God.
As we commence this important journey, we encourage all Muslims to support one another and care for each other.
We, once again, are taking this opportunity to call on the businesspeople in the country to consider the poor when pricing goods such as rice, flour, oil and meat.
Since any reasonable pricing on these commodities during this holly month would bring great blessing and reward from Allahu Sahanawu Watala.
